Following the departure of Luca Allegri last July, who left to take the helm of the Bristol in Paris, the SBM had not appointed a new general manager of hotel operations and purchases until yesterday. Didier Boidin will take office today, on the 20th of March.
The latter will “supervise all the hotel, catering, nightlife and wellness activities of the group. He will also be responsible for hotel sales management, hotel operational marketing and yield management, as well as group purchases,” the statement said.
A career at InterContinental
An important position within the Monegasque hotel group, whose challenge will be to reinforce the position of the establishments as benchmarks of luxury in Europe and to continue their optimization. A mission with central points: the reopening of the Hotel de Paris and the construction of the One Monte-Carlo complex, in place of the Winter Sporting.
“I am delighted to put my international experience and my know-how at the service of a prestigious group such as the Société des Bains de Mer. I will put all my enthusiasm and ability to build and manage high-performance teams and set objectives,” wrote Didier Boidin in a press release.
Specializing in luxury international hotels, this professional has spent 36 years in the InterContinental Group. He was recently head of the group’s Luxury Division for Europe.
During his career, Didier Boidin has also managed prestigious establishments such as the InterContimental in London, in Montreal, the Grand Hotel in Paris and the Carlton Hotel in Cannes.
