Initially planned on the Place du Palais, a concert from rapper 50 Cent took place in the Fontvieille marquee. Before the show, players and staff were received by the Princely couple.
Let the party continue! After winning the game at Louis-II last Wednesday for the French championship title, AS Monaco players invited the club’s fans and Monaco residents to a party at the Fontvieille marquee.
A venue for an American-style show, the epitome of the ASM, the first club to defeat the PSG Qatari since 2012. After Rihanna’s appearance in Cannes, another US superstar, rapper 50 Cent, performed on the Monegasque stage at 7 pm for a one-hour private concert offered by the club. The famous Hexagoal was also exhibited from 6 pm.
The band Jardim was with the team on a double-decker bus, which stopped at the Princely Palace, where Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene received the victorious ambassadors of the Principality. A quiet moment before the party on the dance floor at the Fontvieille marquee.
The Sovereign Prince thanked the fans for their loyal support, expressing the hope that with their help, “next season will be even better”.
Curtis James Jackson III, aka 50 Cent, superstar of the 2000s, had already visited the Rock to film his successful Window Shopper music video. No window shopping this time, but a succession of energetic East Coast hits. This concert was a huge celebration with 3500 club season ticket holders and Monegasques in attendance. As the crowd belted out “We Are the Champions”, club captain El Tigre lifted the trophy to an ovation from the fans! An ideal event which engraved a few more memories for Monaco, winner of League 1, 17 years after its last title… when they were in “Division 1”.
