Roca Team wins in its last game of 2016 against Orleans 86-61
Having won with only seven professional players on Friday against Elan, Roca Team from Monaco strengthened its team with two additional professional players to confront Orléans yesterday. Specialists before the game indeed announced that Roca Team could count on both American players Zack Wright and Jamal Shuler. Second has been hurt in the calf since mid-November. To note that Paul Rigot also was on the field during this game. It is therefore with ten professional players (out of eleven, if you do not count Brandon Davies replaced by John Bryant) that the leader of the championship was playing with its last match in 2016.
Monaco won in the first quarter (26-10), in the second (20-17) and in the fourth (22-14), losing only in the third quarter (18-20).
After another victorious game Roca team holds the first place in the group A with no doubts and finish this year in the lead.
Monaco stunned Orléans in every move, with a success in shooting (47.5 %), and an aggressive defense, having brilliant Bangaly Fofana. Dee Bost finished as better marker of match with 17 points (3/6 in 2pts and in 3 pts), while Amara Sy received in total 12 points (2/3 in free throws). Gladyr was artful in three points throws (4/6).
Monaco was leading the game and already to the time of pause the suspense was no more a question, it became clear who is leading and who is going to win this one.
