Monaco International Dog Show: a special gift for starred furry friends
The most awaited appointment for our four-legged friends came back to Monaco in a special September edition last weekend. The Exposition Canine Internationale de Monaco (Monaco International Dog Show) was held on Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th at Espace Chapiteau in Fontvieille by the will of Société Canine de Monaco – Monaco Kennel Club (member of the Fédération Cynologique Internationale – FCI) chaired by Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy (former vice-president).
An exciting edition at closed doors due to strict health measures involving both human beings and the furry friends. Not by chance, Monaco International Dog Show is grounded in the history of the Principality, being founded in 1927 by H.S.H. Princess Charlotte who chaired the expo until 1950 when she handed over the presidency to her daughter, Princess Antoinette, and then to Baroness Elizabeth-Ann de Massy who held the post from 2011 until her death in 2020.

And if last year is anything to go by there is reason to have confidence the measures the schools will put in place will be effective because it was reported that the Principality had not closed any class last year.
The Monte‐Carlo Country Club will host the Tennis Europe Junior Masters
The Monegasque Tennis Federation is pleased to announce the organization of the 2021 edition of the Tennis Europe Junior Masters Monte-Carlo under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.
This event is a major end-of-season event inviting the elite of young European players made up of the 8 best boys and girls in the under 14 and under 16 categories of the Tennis Europe Junior Tour. Among the former champions, there are players such as Rafael Nadal, Kim Clijsters, Alexander Zverev and Belinda Bencic.
The tournament will take place from October 13th to 15th, 2021 on the legendary clay courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club, also home to the iconic ATP Masters 1000, the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters.

Collect and dispose waste for the World Clean Up Day
The Principality of Monaco will not officially participate in the “WORLD CLEAN UP DAY” on September 18 of this year due to the limitations of Covid 19 on group gatherings.
The Stars’N’Bars restaurant on the port, however, urges all Monegasque residents to become “EcoAngels” on Saturday, either individually or in small groups. They urge everyone to properly collect and dispose of waste that has been thoughtlessly thrown on the streets, sidewalks, sewer grates and public and private spaces of Monaco, especially cigarette butts.
More Demonstrations against Imposed Vaccinations for Health Workers in Monaco
In the middle of the week, another demonstration of about 200 people was held in Monaco at Place des Moulins opposite the Europa building. The purpose was to express views in advance of the formal debate before the anticipated passing of the proposed law on the obligation for health workers and related professions to be vaccinated. This time the focus was to represent the views of some caregivers who are part of the 300 caregivers at Princess Grace Hospital.

Music, theatre and comedy-lovers will be thrilled about the Princess Grace Theatre and the Espace Léo Ferré’s rich and exciting 2021-2022 season.
The Princess Grace Theatre recently revealed a mammoth program of 30 productions from Thursday 7 October 7 until 5 May. The theatre will kick off the season with a French production of ‘La Sourcière’ (‘The Mousetrap’) a murder mystery play by Agatha Christie. Doubt, suspicion, tension, comedy and a dramatic turn of events are waiting for the audience in this production! The Mousetrap opened in London’s West End in 1952 and ran continuously until 16 March 2020, when the stage performances had to be discontinued due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Written for Queen Mary’s 80th birthday, The Mousetrap has had more than 27,000 performances to date. This adaptation is by Jean-Yves Roan with staging by Ladislas Chollat.

The Golden Age of yachting brought to life in Monaco by the 15th Monaco Classic Week
Monaco Classic Week is not just a regatta. It’s a voyage through time and the history of yachting which in Monaco combines sport and a certain ‘Art de Vivre’ common to classic sailing yachts, period motor-yachts and vintage motorboats at a time which saw the birth of aviation and the early seaplanes. It is this spirit that never fails to captivate participants and public alike at an event orchestrated by Yacht Club de Monaco. It combines races as a way to showcase the authenticity of sailing yachts along with the coveted La Belle Classe Restoration Prize, living well at sea with the Chefs Competition, respect for etiquette at sea with the elegance contests, and an extraordinary voyage into the past at the ‘Powerboat Meetings in the Albert I of Monaco era – Yacht Club de Monaco’s collection restored’ exhibition. On the last day, a Grand Parade led by SS Delphine (1921) brought all participants together in front of the Oceanographic Museum for a parade of living maritime heritage in all its many guises to Larvotto Beach and back to the YCM Marina. An opportunity to celebrate the 100th anniversary of this steam-yacht, the last still in operation, recognisable by her inverted stem and elegant lines (78.5m in length, 10.83m beam) with three boilers supplying the original 1500hp quadruple-expansion engines.
