SUMMARY:113th edition of the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters
DESCRIPTION:This year sees the 113th edition of the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters from Saturday 13 April to Sunday 21 April\, Monte-Carlo Country Club. \nThe Rolex Monte Carlo Masters is one of the oldest tournaments in world tennis. Previously known as the “Monte Carlo Tennis Championship”\, the famous competition on clay was created in 1897. It is now part of the Masters 1000\, a category of events organised by the ATP that includes nine tournaments staged annually in Europe\, North America and Asia. \nThis year’s tournament will be launched by Rafael Nadal\, the reigning champion\, in the gardens of the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort. For the first time\, the event will be broadcast live on la Monaco-Info and on the channel’s Facebook page. \nUnlike other tournaments in this category\, the thirty top players in the world are not obligated to take part in the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters. However\, most of the top players are involved. SUMMARY:Ettore Spalletti at the NMNM\, pure colour
DESCRIPTION:A pure\, intense and powerful exhibition of colour. The NMNM (New National Museum of Monaco) at Villa Paloma is exhibiting one of the major artists of Italian minimalism\, Ettore Spalletti. One would think that his art is suggestive of the Arte Povera even if there is no metaphysical recourse to objects and no claim of a militant attitude. \nLargely exhibited in Europe and around the world\, at the Museum of Modern Art in Paris or the Guggenheim in New York\, Ettore Spalletti has also represented Italy four times at the Venice Biennale. \n \nFor this artist\, both a painter and a sculptor\, colour comes in an apparent simplicity\, and nakedness\, but there is a sophisticated technique behind it. To create his elegant works\, Ettore Spalletti mixes chalk\, pigment and oil on wooden panels. He keeps renewing it until he obtains these smooth and velvety surfaces in delicate tones opening our mind to the infinite.

An exhibition of forty works\, including both important new creations and some of the artist’s historic pieces\, has been specially put together for the Villa Paloma. \nThe project is presented as part of a programme of exhibitions dedicated to artists including Thomas Schütte\, Richard Artschwager\, Erik Boulatov\, Mike Nelson\, and Alfredo Volpi\, who developed their own research\, independently of artistic trends and movements\, completely focused on the fusion of the arts and the concrete experience of space. \nA 90 minute documentary about Ettore Spalletti\, written and directed by Alessandra Galletta with the participation of the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco\, produced by the independent Milan-based company LAGALLA23 Productions\, will also have its international première.

Notice to our toddlers fond of chocolate\, it is at the Exotic Garden of Monaco and at the Princess Antoinette Park that we will have to go! \nPlant hunting in the Exotic Garden of Monaco\nSaturday\, April 20\, 2019 at 10h and 11h\, the Exotic Garden of Monaco will host the now famous hunt for exotic plants. The children\, who will be given a plant by the organizers on their arrival\, will have to find its twin hidden in the paths of the garden. By bringing back the two identical plants\, they will be rewarded with a small bag of chocolate eggs (one bag per child). \nTwo sessions are planned: one at 10am and the other at 11am. The number of places being limited\, preliminary registration is required either by telephone (+377 93 15 29 80) or by email (jardin-exotique@mairie.mc). \nThe entrance of the Exotic Garden of Monaco is free for the child – from 3 years – and his companion. \n9th Egg Hunt at Princess Antoinette Park\n \nNever change a winning team! Born on 10 October 1813 near Parma\, Italy\, Verdi’s precocious talent earned him a growing reputation from a very young age. William Shakespeare was one of the composer’s most important references. Otello and Falstaff were Giuseppe Verdi’s final two works. He died in Milan on 27 January 1901.
