SUMMARY:The “Polar Mission” exhibition at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco
DESCRIPTION:The Oceanographic Museum’s new Polar Mission exhibition is currently open and taking visitors on an epic journey from the North pole to the South pole. The new exhibition kicked off on 4 June and covers five exciting themes spread over two levels. From wildlife\, to explorers\, to artefacts\, to immersive technology\, the exhibition is chance to feel like you’re voyaging to the world’s chilliest landscapes at opposite ends of the globe. \nThe Polar Mission Exhibition at the Oceanographic Museum will be on display for the next two years. Entrance to the exhibition is included in a regular ticket to the Oceanographic Museum (€18.00 for adults and €18.00 for children aged 4-17 years). The Museum is open every day from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

SUMMARY:The winners of the RAMOGE photo competition exhibited in Monaco-ville
DESCRIPTION:The most beautiful images of the RAMOGE photography competition are exhibited on the gates of the Saint-Martin garden in Monaco-Ville from 23 January to 26 February. \nOrganized in 2022 on the theme of “Man and the Sea”\, the competition saw nearly 600 photographers from 65 nations submit 3\,370 photos in four categories: “Free theme”\, “Man and the sea”\, “Zone RAMOGE” (Marseille to La Spezia) and “Youth” (under 21). For each category\, the 3 best photographs were selected by a world renowned jury. \n@www.facebook.com/accordramoge\nDiscover 12 most beautiful photographs that won this competition. The exhibition was organized with the assistance of the Department of Cultural Affairs and the Department of Urban Planning of the Principality. The 89th Lemon Festival in Menton traditionally hosts fruit parades\, light shows\, street animations and fairs. Its 2023 theme is “Rock & Opéra”. The Lemon Festival was recognized by the Ministry of Culture and included in the inventory of intangible cultural heritage in France in 2019. This year it is held from February 11 to February 26\, 2023.

SUMMARY:Exhibition of “75 years of Porsche sports cars” at the Car Collection of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco
DESCRIPTION:The “Cercle des Amis de la Collection de Voitures de S.A.S. le Prince de Monaco” is organising a unique exhibition of vehicles from the German sports car manufacturer Porsche\, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year\, from 20 February to 20 March 2023. \nFounded in 1931 under the name “Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche G.m.b.H.\, Konstruktionen und Beratung für Motoren und Fahrzeuge”\, the Stuttgart-based engineering office has become a cradle of automotive technology and has shaped international series and racing car construction for decades with its numerous innovations. In 1948\, Ferry Porsche realised his dream of a sports car: with his team\, he built the Porsche 356 ‘No. 1’ Roadster. It marked the birth of this legendary brand and laid the foundation for an exemplary success story\, for the Porsche legend. \nThe model which followed the 356\, the Porsche 911\, established the company as one of the world’s leading sports car manufacturers. The Porsche 911\, now in its eighth generation\, has been constantly refined\, with more than one million of this iconic car produced to date. \nPorsche’s spirit of innovation is closely linked to motor sport. As early as 1951\, the young brand achieved its first class victory at Le Mans with the 356 SL. To this day\, Porsche holds the record of 110 class and 19 overall victories in the Sarthe. \n\n\n\n\n\nAt this exceptional exhibition\, the public will be able to discover twelve of Porsche’s most legendary racing and sports cars in the new location of the Car Collection\, which was inaugurated just a few months ago on the Port Hercule. Some of the cars are on loan from the department Porsche Heritage and Museum in Stuttgart. Among them\, three famous types of the 911 and a 908 “long tail” will be accompanied by the 917 and 962 C models that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans\, as well as the beautiful 911 GT1 in the colours of Champion Racing\, which won the US championship in 1998. Another 908 “short tail” model from 1969 belonging to the Prince’s collection will also be on display. This competition car was driven by Hans Herrmann and Kurt Ahrens in the 1968 Austrian Grand Prix.

DESCRIPTION:Opéra de Monte-Carlo presents the opera Andrea Chénier by Giordano\, a historical drama in 4 scenes\, put on stage with musical direction of Marco Armiliato\, stage direction by Pierfranco Maestrini on Thursday 23 February 2023\, at 8 pm\, in Opéra de Monte-Carlo – Salle Garnier. \nNew co-production with the Bologna Teatro Comunale. \nJewel of the Giovane Scuola\, Andrea Chénier is much more than a series of memorable arias and duets offered to its three main soloists. It is also a choral work whose multiple characters are sketched with a lively line and with remarkable accuracy. Thus is superimposed\, on the poignant story of the love that the young Madeleine de Coigny felt until her death for the poet André Chénier\, a skilful description of the tilting of the Old World towards uncertain times\, but also of the destructive impulses that inhabit human beings as soon as the social norms of their environment tend to disappear. \nDirected by Pierfranco Maestrini\, this new production will see the live debut of the highly anticipated Jonas Kaufmann alongside Maria Agresta in the role of Madeleine de Coigny.
