A selection of archives and objects will take you back in time\, to the very earliest days of colour television. Organised by the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco\, the exhibition features items entrusted by Télé Monte-Carlo for safekeeping\, documents from partner institutions\, and materials kindly loaned by private individuals.

SUMMARY:Exhibition: “The Ice Giants”
DESCRIPTION:Polar bears and emperor penguins are the protagonists of the new exhibition “The Ice Giants” by Michel Bassompierre organized from Wednesday April 10 to Sunday October 6\, 2024 in Oceanographic Museum of Monaco. Seven monumental works will take over the Oceanographic Museum and its roof terrace. On this occasion\, the sculptor will unveil five new creations: four polar bears as well as a 3-meter-high emperor penguin. Original drawings and sketches will also be exhibited accompanied by the screening of a film presenting the artist’s work. This temporary exhibition is part of the Polar Mission program run by the Oceanographic Institute since 2022.

DESCRIPTION:Exhibition: “Lascaux in Monaco” welcomes visitors from Friday 19 April to Thursday 21 November 2024\, in Musée d’Anthropologie Préhistorique. \nThis exhibition features an original scenography with replicas and an immersive virtual reality experience courtesy of #SPL LASCAUX\, all made possible by the Museum’s partners. Visitors can see original items from the Lascaux caves\, loaned by the National Prehistory Museum (Les Eyzies\, Dordogne) and the Institute of Human Palaeontology (Paris)\, plus ultra-realistic replicas of the five Cro-Magnons by Elisabeth Daynes\, a 1:10 scale model of the Lascaux cave complete with prehistoric paintings and lighting\, and low-tech interactive tables and exhibits.

DESCRIPTION:The Cars Collection of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco will host the exhibition “Ferrari F1 in Monaco: History and Victories” from May 9 to August 31\, 2024. \n\n\n\nThis exceptional exhibition will trace the fascinating history of Scuderia Ferrari in the Principality of Monaco\, which began on May 21\, 1950\, during the first Monaco Grand Prix of Formula 1\, the most famous race of the season. That year\, driver Alberto Ascari\, behind the wheel of a 125S\, finished second\, thus marking the first podium of a very long series for the Italian manufacturer. \nSince then\, Ferrari has won nine victories as well as numerous pole positions and several fastest laps on the Monaco circuit. \nAmong the iconic single-seaters on display\, the public will be able to discover\, in the prestigious setting of the Cars Collection\, those driven by legends such as Michael Schumacher\, Niki Lauda\, Gilles Villeneuve\, and Sebastian Vettel. Visitors will also admire the SF90 of the Monegasque driver\, Charles Leclerc\, with which he won his first two victories at Spa and Monza in 2019. \nTo this day\, Ferrari remains the only team to have competed in every Formula 1 season since the inception of the discipline in 1950. \n\n\n\n

Ballard\, Vermilion Sands (1973)\, the exhibition uses hybrid storytelling to stimulate the imagination.

He made musical history as the first Western artist to perform at the Kremlin after the fall of the Berlin Wall. In 1992\, with Luciano Pavarotti\, he founded the “Pavarotti & Friends” charity gala\, paving the way for annual concerts until 2003. He has performed on five continents\, 69 states and 650 cities\, taking part in major events such as Woodstock\, the 46664 concerts for Nelson Mandela\, and the Freddie Mercury tribute.
