DESCRIPTION:Exhibition: “The Early Days of Télé Monte-Carlo\, 1954-1974​” is held from Monday 25 March 2024 to Friday 31 January 2025\, from 10 am to 5.30 pm (5 pm on Fridays)\, in Institut Audiovisuel de Monaco. \nThis exhibition is looking at the first 20 years of Monaco’s TV channel launched in 1954. A selection of archives and objects will take you back in time\, to the very earliest days of colour television. Organised by the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco\, the exhibition features items entrusted by Télé Monte-Carlo for safekeeping\, documents from partner institutions\, and materials kindly loaned by private individuals.

SUMMARY:Christmas Nativity Trail
DESCRIPTION:Christmas Nativity Trail is organized from Friday 8 December 2024 to Monday 6 January 2025 in Monaco-Ville. \nOn the wishes of HSH the Sovereign Prince Albert II of Monaco\, the Principality’s Nativity Trail was founded in 2014 in Monaco’s Old Town\, to bring festive Christmas cheer and convey the culture and values embodied by nativity scenes from every continent. Each year\, nativity scenes are displayed all along the trail\, set up in specially installed chalets and in the various State buildings in the Old Town district. \nEntering via the Major Ramp will allow you to participate in a large interactive game and extensions of the Path will lead you through the alleys of the Rocher. \nThe Chalet will house a symphony of blue and white nativity scenes that will set a bright tone for the visit of the path that will go around the square\, from the green space behind “the Malizia” to the Terrace of the Carabiniers and up to the large chalet under the pines of the Place du Palais. \nThe Grand Chalet will exhibit about fifteen nativity scenes in homage to the African continent and Madagascar.

Since a ferocious sperm whale took Captain Ahab’s leg\, the latter has relentlessly pursued him with his hatred and fury. He brings sailors aboard\, gradually caught up in the whirlwind of this mad vengeance. This captivating tale\, revealing an initiatory quest\, is as profound as it is wise. It poses the great questions of human existence and inscribes a new myth in human memory: that of the white whale.

A sensation of clarity and reflection\, like the calm at the eye of a hurricane. Unflappable\, a person in the background runs across a set for the whole 70 minute duration of the piece. Seemingly fleeing or dreaming of flight\, the body remains locked on the spot. Perhaps symbolising the desire for progress?
