DESCRIPTION:The AIAP Exhibition will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Monegasque National Committee of the International Association of Plastic Arts (AIAP) at UNESCO from September 25th till October 12th in Salle d’Exposition du Quai Antoine I. \nThe opening reception will be held on Wednesday\, September 24th at 6:00 p.m. \n‘MONACO\, IN THE SHADOW OF THE WIND’\nDaily\, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Free Admission \nFor this new edition\, the artists were invited to reflect on what the Principality evokes in us\, guided by an allegory of the wind\, a constant element of our Mediterranean lands\, whose title plays on its meaning and rhythm. ‘Monaco\, in the Shadow of the Wind’ humbly recalls what the rock has always brought to the shores of this small\, unspoiled port: a peaceful and quality life. \nThis year\, 2025\, also marks the 70th anniversary of the Monegasque National Committee\, one of the first committees to be created under the auspices of UNESCO. Under the impetus of Adalberto Miani and Charles de Bourbon des Deux Siciles\, President of the class\, this one-design series has been structured around a genuine Mediterranean circuit\, with the distinctive feature of offering international events in such prestigious locations as Saint-Tropez\, Porto Cervo\, Calvi\, Alassio\, Cannes and Monaco. The Smeralda 888 International Championship\, created in 2007\, concludes each year with a final event in the Principality. \n\n\nHomage to Adalberto Miani\n\n\n\n\nAn accomplished sportsman\, passionate sailor and leader of men\, Adalberto Miani left his mark on sailing in the Mediterranean. An emblematic figure who did so much for the sport in writing a page in the history of YCM\, he was one of those men who naturally made an impression. Fiercely competitive from a young age\, he distinguished himself first in fencing when he represented Italy on an international level in the sabre discipline. SUMMARY:20th Monaco International Organ Festival
DESCRIPTION:20th Monaco International Organ Festival will be held on from 4 to 18 October 2025 at 8.30 pm \nThe Monaco International Organ Festival invites you to four concerts featuring diverse programs that showcase the rich instrumental heritage of the Principality\, taking place at the Cathedral\, the Church of the Sacred Heart\, and Saint Charles Church. \nThe opening concert at the Cathedral is part of the celebrations for the Three Jubilee Years of Saint Thomas Aquinas: his birth (1225)\, his death (1274)\, and his canonization (1323). For this occasion\, his relics will be brought to the Principality\, and the organ will feature some of the masterpieces of Johann Sebastian Bach\, thus celebrating the connection between these two remarkable figures—a composer and a philosopher. \nAt Sacré-Cœur\, we will have the pleasure of welcoming Gunnar Idenstam and Lisa Rydberg back to the Festival for the second time. Their program for organ and violin will take us on another journey through the music of Bach\, often reimagined with influences from folk music. Imagine\, if you will\, hypothetical German organists of that era\, who came to work in the Swedish countryside\, bringing with them a Bach piece that they would share with local folk musicians… \nFinally\, the closing concert will feature the Pêr-Vari Kervarec Trio\, which is much more than just a musical ensemble: it embodies a living tradition\, a bridge between history and the present\, between the ancient stones of French churches and cathedrals and the souls of those who come to listen. Pêr-Vari Kervarec performed on the steps of the Sainte-Dévote Church during the Prince’s wedding procession in 2011. The ensemble aims to evoke the spirit of the ancient Breton Grimaldi sites.
