Quiet temples\, contemplative landscapes\, vibrant cities and contemporary aesthetics unfold in a richly immersive artistic experience. \nAbout the artists – Franck Solimeis and Carole Micallef\nA self-taught photographer born in Monaco\, Franck Solimeis has cultivated a distinctive visual language inspired by his travels. From Greenland and Namibia to the Atacama Desert and Madagascar\, his journeys across the globe reflect an enduring pursuit of authenticity and emotion. Yet it is in Japan that he discovered a deeply personal connection. \nThrough his lens\, he captures the quiet stillness of temples\, the precision of time-honoured gestures and the vibrant energy of sprawling metropolises. His work reveals a multifaceted Japan – at once ancient and ultra-modern\, contemplative and electric. More than a travelogue\, his photographs become fragments of memory: suspended moments that invite reflection on our own relationship with time\, balance and harmony. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“I’m not sure whether photography led me to travel\, or whether my love of travel inspired me to capture these unique moments\,” he explains. “Japan has become a country close to my heart. I feel a deep sense of harmony there\, both with my energy and my spirituality. Her artistic universe has been shaped by material\, gesture and transformation. \nShe has a particular affinity for vintage and found objects\, which she reimagines and gives a second life through painting and engraving\, creating singular works infused with history and meaning. In 2024\, she began a new chapter by embracing digital tools and exploring the meeting point between traditional artistry and contemporary technology\, while maintaining a fully hands- on creative process without the use of artificial intelligence. \nThis evolution gave rise to her collection Women of the World\, celebrating identity\, culture and inner feminine strength. Her work Tokyo Planet\, recipient of the 2024 Audience Prize at the Monaco Artists Forum\, exemplifies this fusion of artistic heritage and technological modernity. DESCRIPTION:Today Prince Albert II is celebrating his birthday! On this occasion\, we would like to recall some of the key moments in the life of Monaco’s sovereign who has been ruling over the Principality in the last decade. \n\nAlbert Alexander Louis Pierre Grimaldi was born on March 14\, 1958 in the Princely family of Monaco\, Rainier III and his wife\, actress Grace Kelly\, the muse of Alfred Hitchcock.\n\nPrince Rainier III and Princess Grace in the Hercule Gallery of the Prince’s Palace. Fernand Detaille – Archives du Palais Princier de Monaco\n\nEver since he was a child\, Prince Albert was fond of sports. Years later\, he took part in five winter Olympic games\, in the bobsleigh competition. In 1985 he became a member of the International Olympic Committee. That same year\, Albert took part in the Dakar Rally.\n\n\nOn April 6\, 2005\, Albert became the 14thsovereign of the Principality of Monaco. Along with the official title\, he received more than 20 other titles such as the Duke of Valentinois\, Earl of Polignac and others.\nAlbert II is often called the “green” prince for his active support and initiatives in protecting the environment. In April 2006\, he was in charge of an expedition to the North Pole to draw attention to the global warming. He became the first among the heads of state to visit the North Pole.\n\nH.S.H. He is currently the sole monarch and head of state to have visited both poles of the Earth.\nIn June 2010\, the Monegasques learnt the news of the prince’s engagement to a South African swimmer Charlene Whittstock. They got married on July 1\, 2011. The event was celebrated for two days and named “the most impressive wedding in Monaco over the last 55 years.”\n\n \n\nIn March 2013\, Prince Albert II announced a large-scale project of expanding the territory of Monaco that would take part of the sea in the Larvotto area bringing new investments into the Principality.\nIn 2014 the news of Princess Charlene’s pregnancy was announced. On December 10 she gave birth to twins\, a boy and a girl. The children were named Jacques Honore Renier and Gabriella Teresa Maria.\n\n \n\nToday\, Prince Albert is a head of a prosperous state\, a member of such international organizations as the UN\, UNESCO\, OSCE and others.
