Quiet temples\, contemplative landscapes\, vibrant cities and contemporary aesthetics unfold in a richly immersive artistic experience. \nAbout the artists – Franck Solimeis and Carole Micallef\nA self-taught photographer born in Monaco\, Franck Solimeis has cultivated a distinctive visual language inspired by his travels. From Greenland and Namibia to the Atacama Desert and Madagascar\, his journeys across the globe reflect an enduring pursuit of authenticity and emotion. Yet it is in Japan that he discovered a deeply personal connection. \nThrough his lens\, he captures the quiet stillness of temples\, the precision of time-honoured gestures and the vibrant energy of sprawling metropolises. His work reveals a multifaceted Japan – at once ancient and ultra-modern\, contemplative and electric. More than a travelogue\, his photographs become fragments of memory: suspended moments that invite reflection on our own relationship with time\, balance and harmony. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“I’m not sure whether photography led me to travel\, or whether my love of travel inspired me to capture these unique moments\,” he explains. “Japan has become a country close to my heart. I feel a deep sense of harmony there\, both with my energy and my spirituality. It is this duality between tradition and modernity that I sought to reveal.” \n@ Japan Highlights\n@ Japan Highlights\n@ Japan Highlights\nIn dialogue with this photographic perspective\, Carole Micallef brings a complementary artistic voice\, blending craftsmanship\, drawing and digital creation. Driven by an enduring curiosity\, she has explored various forms of expression since childhood\, including pottery painting\, wood engraving\, macramé and mixed media. Her artistic universe has been shaped by material\, gesture and transformation. \nShe has a particular affinity for vintage and found objects\, which she reimagines and gives a second life through painting and engraving\, creating singular works infused with history and meaning. In 2024\, she began a new chapter by embracing digital tools and exploring the meeting point between traditional artistry and contemporary technology\, while maintaining a fully hands- on creative process without the use of artificial intelligence. \nThis evolution gave rise to her collection Women of the World\, celebrating identity\, culture and inner feminine strength. Her work Tokyo Planet\, recipient of the 2024 Audience Prize at the Monaco Artists Forum\, exemplifies this fusion of artistic heritage and technological modernity. SUMMARY:The Blue Economy and Finance Forum 2026
DESCRIPTION:The Blue Economy and Finance Forum returns on 28–29 May to the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco\, with the aim of accelerating the momentum towards a sustainable blue economy. \n\n\n\nFaced with the urgent need to protect the Ocean and fundamentally transform the economic models that depend on it\, Monaco is increasingly a focal point for dialogue between international leaders in science\, finance and public policy. Following the success of the 2025 Blue Economy and Finance Forum (BEFF)\, Monaco will host the next edition of this major event on 28–29 May 2026 at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco. The format has been revised to build on the momentum achieved during the 2025 forum. \nOrganised by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco\, under the patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco\, BEFF 2026 will bring together up to 300 participants from the public and private sectors\, the finance sector\, and the world of philanthropy. Over two days\, policymakers\, business leaders\, investors\, banks\, pension funds\, sovereign wealth funds\, and international experts will discuss existing solutions to accelerate the transition to a sustainable and regenerative blue economy. \nWith its plenary sessions\, exhibition space\, pitch sessions from innovative companies\, and side events\, BEFF 2026 will both provide an opportunity to track the progress of the coalitions formed during the 2025 event and promote the emergence of new opportunities for cooperation and funding. \n  \n\n\n\n

He loves his father\, César\, gruff but good-natured\, and little Fanny\, who sells seashells in front of the family café. Since childhood\, he has been consumed by the desire to travel the world. He struggles against this yearning. He doesn’t want to abandon his father\, who might die of grief\, nor little Fanny\, with whom he is madly in love. Yet\, like an irresistible temptation\, wave after wave\, the sea calls to him\, reminding him of his dream of another world\, his fantasy of feeling the breeze of the Leeward Islands on his skin… \nInto this well-defined and ordered daily life\, a new wind will blow and transform the bond that unites these two women\, a bond that has remained intact until now.
