DESCRIPTION:The Oceanographic Museum’s new Polar Mission exhibition is currently open and taking visitors on an epic journey from the North pole to the South pole. The new exhibition kicked off on 4 June and covers five exciting themes spread over two levels. From wildlife\, to explorers\, to artefacts\, to immersive technology\, the exhibition is chance to feel like you’re voyaging to the world’s chilliest landscapes at opposite ends of the globe. \nThe Polar Mission Exhibition at the Oceanographic Museum will be on display for the next two years. Entrance to the exhibition is included in a regular ticket to the Oceanographic Museum (€18.00 for adults and €18.00 for children aged 4-17 years). The Museum is open every day from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

DESCRIPTION:A new exhibition opened in Villa Paloma: Pier Paolo Calzolari “Casa ideale” (Ideal Home) from 17 November 2023 to 7 April 2024. \nPier Paolo Calzolari is known for the formal originality of his multi-faceted practice (painting and sculpture\, but also performances he looks on as “acts of passion”) that challenge the limits of contemporary art. \nThe exhibition at the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco brings together works he produced between the late 1960s and 2014. Titled Casa ideale (Ideal Home) after a “text-manifesto” written in 1968\, and spread across Villa Paloma’s three floors\, the exhibition plays on the codes of interiors\, that is to say the codes of the personal that echo the existentialism of the artist’s production. The exhibition shows that\, since 1972\, the Italian artist has tackled the most important questions raised by contemporary painting. A retrospective exhibition\, Casa ideale is a rare opportunity to discover the world of Pier Paolo Calzolari\, an artist who has made his mark on art history through his customarily unconventional approach to the various practices in the visual arts.

DESCRIPTION:19th Edition of the Monegasque Red Nose Day\, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco\, will take place on December 6th\, Saint Nicholas Day – Patron Saint of Children. \nLes Enfants de Frankie association\, concerned about the environment\, adapts its ‘Red Nose’ so that it becomes a more ecological and useful article for citizens. The foam ball becomes a “reusable Shopping Bag”\, and retains the shape of the Red Nose when closed. \nIt is available for €2.50. Through their purchase\, each citizen supports children in difficulty and allows the association to ensure their development: financing of educational projects\, for therapeutic purposes or specific medical equipment; educational\, sporting\, cultural outings\, creative workshops… \nThe population is invited to use their bag during the support day\, Wednesday December 6\, 2023 and of course throughout the year. \nThe “Red Nose” of Frankie the clown\, the association’s mascot\, was created on December 6\, 2005\, the day of Saint Nicholas and Patron Saint of children\, to support sick\, disabled and/or children in family difficulties in Monaco and the PACA region. Every person who buys a Red Nose supports these children and thumbs their nose at pain\, disability\, ignorance and isolation. Until 2021 the Nose had the appearance of a friendly little foam ball. The Nose has diversified over the years\, with its color and smiley face.
