DESCRIPTION:The Oceanographic Museum’s new Polar Mission exhibition is currently open and taking visitors on an epic journey from the North pole to the South pole. The new exhibition kicked off on 4 June and covers five exciting themes spread over two levels. From wildlife\, to explorers\, to artefacts\, to immersive technology\, the exhibition is chance to feel like you’re voyaging to the world’s chilliest landscapes at opposite ends of the globe. \nThe Polar Mission Exhibition at the Oceanographic Museum will be on display for the next two years. Entrance to the exhibition is included in a regular ticket to the Oceanographic Museum (€18.00 for adults and €18.00 for children aged 4-17 years). The Museum is open every day from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

SUMMARY:Exhibition of Pier Paolo Calzolari: "Casa ideale" (Ideal Home)
DESCRIPTION:A new exhibition opened in Villa Paloma: Pier Paolo Calzolari “Casa ideale” (Ideal Home) from 17 November 2023 to 7 April 2024. \nPier Paolo Calzolari is known for the formal originality of his multi-faceted practice (painting and sculpture\, but also performances he looks on as “acts of passion”) that challenge the limits of contemporary art. \nThe exhibition at the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco brings together works he produced between the late 1960s and 2014. Titled Casa ideale (Ideal Home) after a “text-manifesto” written in 1968\, and spread across Villa Paloma’s three floors\, the exhibition plays on the codes of interiors\, that is to say the codes of the personal that echo the existentialism of the artist’s production. The exhibition shows that\, since 1972\, the Italian artist has tackled the most important questions raised by contemporary painting. A retrospective exhibition\, Casa ideale is a rare opportunity to discover the world of Pier Paolo Calzolari\, an artist who has made his mark on art history through his customarily unconventional approach to the various practices in the visual arts.

DESCRIPTION:Since 2002\, the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco has conserved 4\,000 stage costumes and 400 stage set models from the Opéra de Monte-Carlo and deposited by the Société des Bains de Mer. \nLaunched in 2018 as part of a project by artist Celia Pym\, La Collection voyageuse offers a series of traveling workshops. Accompanied by fabrics\, embroideries\, headdresses and accessories from the Opéra de Monte-Carlo’s costume collection\, a team of mediators leads several workshops in schools\, associations and medical institutions. From touching to drawing to writing\, these creative workshops are also an opportunity to raise awareness of the issues surrounding the conservation and restoration of works of art. \nThe new season has just started at the Révoires school where “The traveler collection” was activated for a whole week\, before being deployed in particular at the La Condamine school.
