Yet it is in Japan that he discovered a deeply personal connection. \nThrough his lens\, he captures the quiet stillness of temples\, the precision of time-honoured gestures and the vibrant energy of sprawling metropolises. SUMMARY:Feast of Monaco’s national dish Barbagiuan
DESCRIPTION:Barbagiuan is a savory\, filled pastry originating in Monaco and is mainly found in the eastern part of the French Riviera and in northern Italy. \nBarbagiuan\, in the Monegasque language means ‘Uncle John’. It is thought that\, long enough ago for the story to become the dish’s folklore\, someone named Jean didn’t have a sauce for his ravioli and so stuffed it with Swiss chard and fried it instead. This new creation spread in popularity and became known as ‘Barbagiuan’ – a nod\, in name\, to its famous culinary creator. Across the border\, in Italy\, this pastry is called ‘Barbagiuai’ and the main difference is that it is filled with pumpkin. \nBeing Monaco’s national dish\, Barbagiuan is most notably eaten on the Principality’s national day\, on November 19. On a daily basis\, Barbagiuan is considered an appetizer or a small snack\, so you’ll find it in the markets of Monaco. If you’re visiting\, head to La Condamine market or find it served as a starter when eating out. \nMore recently\, the Fete du Barbagiuan\, which is celebrated in June\, – a festival of all things connected to Barbagiuan – has been set up to celebrate and educate on the national dish. Cooking demonstrations\, classes and events are put on by A Roca\, a company that promotes regional gastronomy.

Andrea is the fourth in the line of succession to the Monegasque throne owing to being the first-born of Princess Caroline and Stefano Casiraghi. He spent his childhood with his younger brother and sister. Andrea was only six years old when his father died tragically in an accident while boat racing. \nPierre and Andrea Casiraghi\nAndrea spent his childhood between France\, Italy and Monaco. Secretive by nature\, he made his first public appearance at the age of 19 during the 43rd Monte-Carlo Television Festival. The tall blonde instantly became a sensation with the paparazzi and the new style icon among the youth of the Principality. \nIn 2004\, his younger sister Charlotte introduced him to her friend and classmate\, a member of the Colombian aristocracy Tatiana Santo Domingo\, who happened to be a daughter of one of Colombia’s richest businessmen. Despite the fact that she is an heir of billionaire Julio Mario Santo Domingo\, Tatiana was not a public person. She had never considered herself a celebrity\, so she did not like the attention from the paparazzi. \nIn 2006\, the young man went to the slums of the Philippines as part of a charity event arranged by AMADE\, an organization headed by his mother Princess Caroline. Andrea took advantage of his popularity in the media to show the devastating effects caused by the toxic waste of abandoned US military bases. \nAfter moving to Paris with Tatiana\, Andrea received an American University degree in international politics\, and worked for the Qatari Embassy in Paris. The founder of the fashion house Valentino also attended the ceremony. \nA few months before marriage\, 21st March\, the couple had a son Alexander Andrea Stefano Casiraghi or simply Sasha. Two years later\, 12th April 2015\, the Casiraghi family celebrated the birth of baby girl India. Their third child\, a boy named Maximilian Rainier\, was born in London on 19 April 2018. \nPrincess Alexandra of Hanover\, Andrea Casiraghi with his son\, Princess Caroline of Hanover\, Pierre Casiraghi and Tatyana Santo Domingo with kids\nToday\, the heir to the princely throne regularly participates in important social events in Monaco\, such as National Day and Thanksgiving Day\, the Rose Ball\, the Monaco Grand Prix and others. He has also been a corporal in the Compagnie des Carabiniers du Prince since 20th January 2012.

DESCRIPTION:On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the wedding of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly\, the Prince’s Palace of Monaco presents an exceptional exhibition “Wedding of the Century”\, dedicated to this internationally renowned event from 18 June to 25 September 2026. \nAt the crossroads of European monarchical tradition and American-style media staging\, the “wedding of the century”\, to use the expression coined by journalist Pierre Macaigne in Le Figaro as early as 4 April 1956\, left a lasting imprint on public imagination and on Monaco’s contemporary history. \nThrough photographs\, film footage\, jewellery\, gowns\, gifts and previously unseen archival material\, the exhibition invites visitors to explore the key figures\, locations\, highlights and behind-the-scenes moments of a week of celebrations organised in just three months\, from Grace Kelly’s spectacular arrival on the morning of 12 April to the departure of the princely couple for their honeymoon on the evening of 19 April. \nAlthough the wedding ceremonies of Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly do not feature among the contemporary myths analysed by Roland Barthes (1915–1980) in his Mythologies\, published in 1957\, they could easily have formed the subject of one of the semiologist’s essays. Bande à Part plays on multiple registers\, combining humour\, energy and technical mastery with an uninhibited and terribly refreshing freedom. \nThe trio\, originally from Ajaccio\, is known for its cover versions and lively live performances. Alexandre\, aka Benny Love\, the singer and guitarist; Christian\, aka Danny Vargas\, the drummer; and Xavier\, aka Tuco Toreraz\, the bassist – friends for 25 years – formed the band in 2009 (following an earlier project called Blague à Part). Although Tuco is now often replaced on stage by Antonin\, aka Lino Rover\, he contributed to the band’s latest surprise album.

DESCRIPTION:The Crossing event is making a grand return and will take place on June 19 and 20 with a new\, exceptional edition\, in the heart of the Mediterranean\, along a brand-new 225-kilometer water bike route. \nOrganized by Her Serene Highness Princess of Monaco Foundation since 2020\, this sporting and charitable event aims to raise awareness of the Foundation’s initiatives\, particularly swimming education\, drowning prevention\, and the promotion of the educational and human values of sport. Driven by an international dimension\, it embodies a multicultural and unifying spirit. \nThis year\, the Crossing has taken on an environmental dimension. The race will pass through the Pelagos Marine Sanctuary\, a European marine treasure. Forming a triangle between France\, Italy\, and Monaco\, this sanctuary stands as the largest marine area dedicated to the protection of marine mammals in Europe. Created in 1999\, this 87\,500-square-kilometer territory remains an essential refuge for many iconic species. \nFor this new edition\, several teams of four elite athletes will set off from the Viareggio Yacht Club (exact time to be confirmed 48 hours in advance) on Friday\, June 19. \nOver nearly 24 hours of continuous challenge\, participants will take turns at sea to reach the Principality of Monaco\, with an expected finish at Larvotto Beach on Saturday\, June 20 (exact time to be confirmed 48 hours in advance). \n\n\n\n\n\n\nBeyond the sporting performance\, “The Crossing” stands as a unique human and solidarity- driven adventure\, combining endurance\, commitment\, and self-transcendence in support of a vital cause.
