Weekend in Monaco with #hello_monaco

This end of the week is marked by the celebration of Saint Devota Festival, Patron Saint of the Princely Family of the Principality of Monaco. But though the holiday is over, keep your festive spirit as the weekend begins with some interesting events ahead.

There is no doubt that now all eyes of the Principality are looking in the direction of the Espace Fontvieille and 41th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival. Starting from this Wednesday the winners show is now on with all the best performances from all over the world. On Saturday there are two performance at 2.30 pm and 8 pm and three on Sunday at 10.30 am, 14.30 pm and 19.00.  Tickets range from €35 to €190. And Sunday 10.30 am performance is a 2 hours show with reduced ticket prices.

If you notice some retro cars racing around the Principality, don’t worry you didn’t accidently make a trip in the past on a time machine. It’s the 20th edition of the Rally Monte-Carlo Historique which started on Wednesday, January 25, it will continue all the way through the weekend and conclude on Wednesday, February 1, with prize-giving and the Gala Evening in the Monte-Carlo Sporting Club’s Salle des Etoiles. As usual, the 2017 Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique will be open to cars that took part in the actual event from 1955 until 1980. This edition pays tribute to the participation in the 1967 Rally Automobile Monte-Carlo of French rock icon Johnny Hallyday and Henri Chemin in a Ford Mustang.

After a glorious series of Roca Team victories even people who were never interested in sports became basketball fans. So don’t miss another game of our favourite team:  on Saturday 28 January at 8.00 pm AS Monaco and Saint-Quentin are playing Basketball 1/8 Cup de France. But Monaco football team also needs your support this weeken, on Sunday 29 January at 9 pm AS MONACO will meet with PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN in French League 1, Day 22 though it’s not a home game you can make a whole event of watching it with your friends on TV.

Away from the cheering crowds of sports fans is the other event on Sunday 29 January, at 6 pm in Auditorium Rainier III – Salle Yakov Kreizberg: Great Season Series: “Missa Solemnis” by Ludwig Van Beethoven with the Hungarian Radio Choir and the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Gianluigi Gelmetti. Tickets cost between €17 and €50.

Don’t forget that there are two exhibitions are now open related to the Circus festival “Long Live the Circus”, Exhibition of Paintings by Igor Akimov in Riviera Marriott Hotel and “Recreation”, Exhibition of Paintings and Circus items by Petit Gougou in  Hôtel Columbus.
