Weekend in Monaco with #hello_monaco
It is the last week of the Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival and now sport events in the Principality come forward. But as always there are plenty things to do to satisfy any taste.
Music program of the Monte-Carlo Spring Arts Festival (“Printemps des Arts”) continues with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra’s Great Season Series: symphonic concert conducted by Kazuki Yamada, with Liza Kerob, violin on Saturday 8 April, at 8.30 pm Auditorium Rainier III – Salle Yakov Kreizberg with Overtures by Hector Berlioz on the programme. Tickets range from €17 to €50.
Another form of art is The Unexpected 2 (Les Imprévus) by the Compagnie des Ballets de Monte-Carlo from Wednesday 5 April to Saturday 8 April, at 7 pm Atelier des Ballets de Monte-Carlo. It is never possible to predict what Jean-Christophe Maillot and his 50 dancers prepared behind the doors of the Atelier for the Unexpected … It is more than a show, The Unexpected is a moment of exchanges at the end of which you won’t see dancers and choreographers in the same way ever again.
Theater this weekend is waiting for its younger audience with a show for children: “Run After the Bear” (“Qu’ours poursuite”) on Saturday 8 April, at 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm in Théâtre des Muses. After the success last year of “J’ai Papa sommeil”, the bear Cassoulet and his little mistress Gommette come back to us. This time, Gommette does not want to go to school without his bear, but it is forbidden. In any case, he also has no desire to leave, so he hides in a much more dangerous place. It is thus that starts the fun! It is for children 3 years and older. Tickets are available at €14-€16.
The sports section this weekend has a basketball game of the agenda: AS Monaco and Asvel are playing in PRO A Basketball Championship on Sunday 9 April at 6.30 pm in Stade Louis II – Salle Omnisports Gaston Médecin.
There is also an out of town football game match where AS MONACO will meet with ANGERS SCO in French League 1, Day 32 on Saturday 8 April at 17.00.
If you like sports, sea, fresh air, beautiful sceneries, Monaco Bay is a place to be this weekend to watch or maybe to participate in the Monaco Match Race – European Match Race Tour & Grand Opening M32 organized by the Yacht Club of Monaco on April 7-9.
A new format for exciting sailing events started in February 2017 and will crown a Tour champion during the Grand Final in September. The European Match Race Tour is a new match race series formed by event organizers across the continent to promote sailing in general and match racing in particular. The tour will feature stops in 7 countries.
For those who like wine there is 7th Independent Winegrowers’ Salon of Nice on April 7-9, 2017 in Parc des Expositions, Nice. 220 producers from all over France are expected to come. Admission is €3-€6.
