1. Cantiere delle Marche Darwin 102 yacht Galego delivered

Cantiere delle Marche has announced the delivery of the third hull of its Darwin Class series, 102 yacht Galego. Launched in April, she is built in steel and aluminium and engineered by Hydro Tec.

 

Galego boasts a series of interesting customizations, both with regards to function and design. One of the first requests of personalization that was accomplished involves the sundeck, designed for both a lounge area – with a big sofa with up/down tables, a bar in the center full optional equipped for cooking and cocktails – and a fully-equipped fitness area with a pool so to keep up with their daily workout routines, even when the owners are at sea and far away from their regular gym. In order for the owners to live an active life while enjoying the oceans and their sailing destinations, careful attention was dedicated to the layout of the garage, designed to hold numerous toys and transportation vehicles, as well as a complete diving center.

2. Heesen delivers Home

 

Heesen Yachts has announced that on 1 July 2017, the world’s first Fast Displacement motor yacht equipped with hybrid propulsion was delivered to her Owner in international waters.

The superyacht is not only ultra-quiet, but she is also extremely fuel efficient. At 12 knots, she has a fuel consumption of 98 litres per hour (excluding generators) and at 10 knots in hybrid mode this further reduces to a staggering 45 litres per hour, which for a 50m yacht, displacing 295 tons and with a Gross Tonnage of 499, is an outstanding achievement.

3. The largest Pershing yacht on the move

 

Pershing has shared the photos of its largest project ever, 43.53m Pershing 140, on the move. First unveiled in December 2015, her design is the result of a collaboration between Ferretti Group’s Pershing team and naval architect Fulvio De Simoni.

The Pershing 140 has three possible engine configurations to offer. The owner can choose between two options of twin MTU 4000 M93L engines, either 12V or 16V, with hydro-jet propulsion to take the yacht to 24 knots and 33 knots respectively. For for the speed lovers, a third variation of four MTU M94 engines would deliver a maximum top speed of 38 knots. The Pershing 140 is expected to make her premiere in 2018.

4. Fountainhead spotted in Copenhagen, Denmark

 

Feadship superyacht Fountainhead has been recently spotted in Copenhagen, Denmark. Measuring 87.87m, the yacht has a beam of 13.9m and a draft of 4.1m.

Fountainhead is allegedly owned by Edward Lampert, an American businessman, the chairman and CEO of Sears Holdings (SHLD) and founder, chairman, and CEO of ESL Investments. His net worth is valued at $1.89 billion by Forbes.
