Roca Team celebrates victory over Asvel 92-88

The match was very intense and Roca team again gave all its energy to win! They dominated on the field during the whole game. Monegasque players were very reactive, quick and exact.

At the beginning of the game all players of the Roca team went to the tribunes to give a handshake to their coach Zvezdan Mitrovic who was suspended from this game but still presented in the spirit of the team.

The Monegasque team (26-19) won first quarter and the rhythm of the game was defined from its first minute: undeniable domination of the Roca team. It was obvious from the start of the game that Asvel team, who had quite important position regarding its qualification at play-offs, had no chance against quick and fierce game of the Roca Team.

Second quarter was won by the Monegasque team (23-16) and even though the third and fourth quarters were lost by Monegasques to Asvel (23-26; 20-27), the important points difference in the two first quarters guaranteed the victory of Roca team.

“We all wanted to win that evening. And fans supported us enormously”, – shared Nik Caner-Medley from Roca team after the game. – “Never give up – that is the spirit of our team. And that evening I knew that especially Zack Wright and Dee Bost were going to be very presented at the field and so I had to be very aggressive attacking. We managed to do the best”.
