Gala International de Gymnastique Princesse Grace will be full of surprises

The Monégasque Gymnastics Federation, under the high Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, are delighted to announce their Gala International de Gymnastique Princesse Grace to be held in Monaco on Saturday 30th November (19:30) and Sunday 1st December (15:00).

As part of the commemorations of the 90th anniversary of the birth of Princess Grace, the Monégasque Gymnastics Federation present a new format for the 2019 Gala. Over 2 days of competition and displays, a jury of specialist judges from the world of gymnastics along with sporting personalities from the Principality, led by ex-Olympic athlete Pernilla Wiberg, will award the Trophée Princess Grace to Champions from the following disciplines:

  • Feminine Artistic Gymnastics (GAF),
  • Masculine Artistic Gymnastics (GAM),
  • Acrobatic Gymnastics (GAC),
  • Rhythmic Gymnastics (GR).

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco will present the coveted, unique trophies. Founded in 1979 by SAS Princess Grace of Monaco, this event was created to promote women’s sport, in particular gymnastics.

It will be a special experience to see world renowned gymnasts perform in Monaco, some of them before they compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Also competing, Trampolinists and members of the Russian and Italian National Gymnastics teams and a few other surprises to be confirmed closer to the date.

We are also excited to announce the participation of Katelyn Ohashi, American Artistic Champion Gymnast whose vibrancy and talent was showcased to a whole new audience when her fabulous gymnastics performance for UCLA scored her a perfect 10 and went viral all over the world, so far the UCLA uploaded clip has over 65 million views. She will be accompanied by her Coach Valorie Kondos Field.

Gymnasts who will compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics

Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos (GAF), French Artistic gymnast and a two-time French National Overall Champion (2017-2018). Internationally, she is the 2019 European Overall Champion and two time European Champion on floor exercise (2018, 2019).

Lorette Charpy (GAF) French Artistic gymnast and Individual Bronze Medal for the Beam at the European Championships 2019, Vice European Champion by team 2018, and multiple individual French Championships winner.

Cyril Tommasone (GAM) French Artistic gymnast. Double World Champion and 4 x European Champion. Team Bronze Medal in the European Championships 2018.

Julien Gobaux (GAM) French Artistic gymnast. French Overall Champion 2016 and Team Bronze Medal in the European Championships 2018.

Kevin Crovetto (GAM) Monegasque Artistic gymnast. Represented the Principality of Monaco at the Rio Olympics 2016.

Talia De Troyer, Britt Vanderdonckt et Charlotte Van Royen (GAC) Belgian Acrobatic Gymnastic Champions of Europe 2019.

Estonian Rhythmic Gymnastics Team (GR).

Local gymnasts from Femina Sports Monaco, Etoile de Monaco and Monaco Gymnastique Rythmique.
