Grimaldi Family

The House of Grimaldi: new generation. Pauline and Louis Ducruet

You already know the history of the Grimaldis’ older generation. Time to meet the younger members of the royal family. We’ll start with Princess Stephanie’s children Pauline and Louis.

Louis Robert Paul Ducruet is an illegitimate child of Princess Stephanie and her bodyguard Daniel Ducruet. Born in 1992, the boy spent his childhood away from the paparazzi and public attention. Even now Louis doesn’t reveal his private life out to the public. So journalists take advantage of his every appearance at official events.

Louis went to SKEMA Business School in Sophia Antipolis and then moved to Western Carolina University (WCU) where he got a Bachelor’s degree in sports management.

As with all members of the Princely family, Stephanie’s son has always been passionate about sport, especially football. He is a huge fan of his home team AS Monaco. He also takes part in charity football games organised by the royal family.

Though he has no title, the 23-year-old Grimaldi has to attend official events, which are the only way to find out more about his private life. For instance, last year he attended the Fight Aids Monaco charity event in the company of a cheerful brunette, Marie. That was the first time Princess Grace’s grandson showed off his relationship to the public. The media wasted no time in finding out that Marie Chevallier met her prince at WCU where she had studied Marketing. Their relationship has been ongoing for 4 years already. At least, that’s what Marie shared on her page in Facebook.

The couple settled in Monaco. Marie works for the Hotel Hermitage. As for Louis, he started his career in AS Monaco. Looking at the happy couple, we have no doubt that another royal wedding is fast approaching.

Let’s see how’s Pauline’s life going.

Pauline Grace Maguy Ducruet has just turned 22, but she left the Principality as a teenager and leads an independent young woman’s life in the U.S. “My parents taught me how to live on my own”, said Pauline in the interview for the French magazine Gala.

From a very young age, Pauline inherited her mother’s passion for the circus. The girl used to participate in the training of elephants in the circus of Franko Knie. She was also involved in gymnastics. Now the young Grimaldi actively assists her mother Princess Stephanie during the International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo. Pauline fulfils her duties as President of the Jury at the New International Festival for young artists.

But that’s not all. Pauline Ducruet is a professional diver. In 2010, she represented Monaco at the World Junior Diving Championships in Aachen and the European Junior Swimming and Diving Championships in Helsinki. Moreover, she was part of the Monegasque delegation at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics in Singapore.

After her graduation from Lycée Prince Albert I de Monaco she moved to Paris to study at the prestigious Instituto Marangoni. Three years later, she settled in New York to pursue her studies at the Parsons School of Design.

Pauline is certainly a modern girl, though sometimes following the trends does not match the life of a royalty. Pauline should know that posting topless pictures on Instagram could be a big deal if you are a member of the Princely family. That’s exactly what Pauline did. But it seems the royal family didn’t pay attention to the picture that caused a real fuss in the local press.

You can follow the life of the 22-year-old Parsons student on her Instagram page, which is regularly updated.
