Screening of “A Special Day” by Ettore Scola organized by the Institut Audiovisuel de Monaco will be held on 3 October 2025 at 7 pm in Camille Blanc Auditorium – Grimaldi Forum Monaco.
Film presented as a season opener.
The first part features a snapshot from the Institute’s collections.
On the morning of 6 May 1938, all of Rome is preparing for the grand parade in honour of Hitler, who has come to strengthen his alliance with Mussolini. In a barracks-like building in a working-class neighbourhood, Antonietta, a mother exhausted by her daily household chores, meets Gabriele, a radio commentator who has been confined to his flat by the police because he is homosexual.
