Baroque Music: “Mater Ecclesia – Ensemble La Sportelle”

The Ensemble la Sportelle invites you to a magnificent musical fresco on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 8 p.m., in Church of Sacré-Cœur.

Combining the organ and eight singers, this program brings together the summits of polyphony by bringing together the Spanish masters of the Renaissance and the contrapuntal genius of Jean-Sébastien Bach. Listening to it, various emotions transport us: doubt, hope, trust in the Mother and joy. The great organ, soloist, accompanying or improvising interludes, brings an immense richness of sound through the variety of its timbre palettes.
