Screening of “Black Rain” by Shōhei Imamura is organized by Monaco Audiovisual Institute on 27 October 2026 at 7 pm in Théâtre des Variétés.
A great filmmaker, Imamura recounts the trauma of Hiroshima with deeply moving simplicity, calling for quiet reflection rather than outrage—an approach that holds its own against any philosophy. (More information and the trailer are available on the Monaco Audiovisual Institute website.)
