The Villa Eilenroc

Cross-border itinerary – Villa Eilenroc is organized on Saturday 4 October 2025 from 1 pm to 5 pm.

The Heritage Institute is offering a tour of Villa Eilenroc, a neoclassical-style villa located on the seafront in Antibes-Juan-les-Pins, followed by afternoon refreshments.

In 1860, Hugh-Hope Loudon, former governor of the Dutch East Indies, purchased a plot of land at the tip of Cap d’Antibes and had a residence built there in 1867, designed by Charles Garnier.

After passing through the hands of several owners, it was purchased in 1927 by an American couple, Louis Dudley Beaumont and Hélène Thomas. They held prestigious receptions and parties there, inviting celebrities from the French Riviera.

In 1982, the villa was bequeathed to the City of Antibes-Juan-les-Pins, on the condition that the property be used as a venue for exhibitions and receptions, and that the public be allowed access to the gardens.
