Rocketon 2025: Monaco marches to give a voice to the voiceless

November 2 @ 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Rocketon 2025

On Sunday, November 2, 2025, the Fontvieille Big Top will host the 2nd edition of Rokethon, the major solidarity march against animal abandonment and mistreatment. Organized by the Monegasque association Rokethon, founded by Sylvia Sermenghi, the event aims to raise public awareness of animal welfare, encourage responsible adoption, and support shelters working tirelessly every day. Following the success of the first edition, which brought together more than 400 dogs and their owners, this new event promises to once again unite families, associations, professionals, and public figures around a powerful message: every life counts, and love changes everything.

Starting at 10:00 a.m., participants will set off on the Rokethon Race, a charity walk around the Big Top. Each lap completed (1 km) will increase the donation to the association. Upon registration, each handler-dog pair will receive a red bandana and a medal symbolizing their commitment.

The day will continue with Woofest, a space for fun and sporty activities for dogs: agility course, foam pit, educational workshops, raffle, and more.

A photo studio will also be set up: fashion photographer Toni Meneguzzo will capture the human-canine duos. Association and professional animal welfare booths will welcome the public throughout the day. The highlight of the event will be the “Walk me home and love me fur-ever” fashion show, where models and dogs up for adoption will walk the runway together, dressed in ethically sourced, eco-friendly fur creations.

The event will be hosted by journalist Daniel Lauclair, and several prominent figures and committed ambassadors are expected to attend.
Participation: Free entry with a donation + €2 per lap (1 km) – Additional donations are welcome. Woofest activities and raffle tickets can be purchased separately.

The event is organized to benefit the SPA Monaco, chaired by H.S.H. Princess Charlene, as well as the charities Un Brin de Chance (Nice) and Nos Amis pour la Vie (Marrakech).

In 2024, 117,000 dogs and cats were abandoned in France. Thanks to Rokethon and public support, some have found a family and a second chance.
