The Monaco Polar Symposium 2026

The Monaco Polar Symposium 2026 will take place from 25–27 February 2026 at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco.
Across high-level panels, featured conversations and participatory workshops, the programme will explore how polar research can be translated into concrete action: strengthening cooperation, advancing equitable funding models and supporting effective implementation in the polar regions.
Discussions will be structured around three core thematic pillars:
- International Collaboration in Times of Uncertainty
- Funding Innovation, Equity & New Models
- Research to Action: Flagship Initiatives & Implementation
Designed to foster dialogue and deliver actionable outcomes, the Symposium will contribute to shaping priorities for the Fifth International Polar Year (IPY-5) and beyond.
