When she inherited an old suitcase from her uncle André, Sophie never imagined that the hundreds of photos it contained would become the basis for her new creation. Her entire family, from her Italian great-grandparents to her daughters, are immortalized, and it is through her affectionate gaze that each character comes to life before our eyes: a father who suddenly becomes famous without ever leaving his couch, a sprightly mother with unwavering enthusiasm, an aunt with a cracked voice and multiple blow-drys, a dangerous Neapolitan grandpa, a cheerful uncle with an unexpected destiny, not to mention Gerry, the eternal dog…
