Underwater Photography Event in Monaco
September 4 - September 7
From September 4 to 7, 2025 there will be held a weekend fully dedicated to underwater photography, organized by the Club d’Exploration Sous-Marine de Monaco (CESMM), whose Honorary President is H.S.H. Prince Albert II.
This event highlights values that are dear to the Principality: ecology, environmental protection, and ocean preservation. Through underwater photography, it aims to raise awareness of the beauty and diversity of Monaco’s marine life.
The weekend, rich in competitions, will feature in particular:
• The 20th National Underwater Photography Competition,
• The 2nd International Challenge (the first edition held 10 years ago), gathering 11 nations in Monaco and introducing, for the very first time worldwide, a night dive,
• The junior competition “Regards sous la mer”, whose results will be revealed by the six members of the jury.
A unique event, both for the values it promotes and the spotlight it places on marine biodiversity, with a strong connection between two emblematic venues: the CESMM base and the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, where participants’ dives will take place throughout the weekend.
On this occasion, the President of the World Confederation of Underwater Activities (CMAS), Mrs. Anna Arzhanova, will be in Monaco to honor CESMM’s initiatives and organization.

You are invited to attend and observe the competitions starting from 8:30 a.m. on Friday, September 5, and Saturday, September 6, for the general briefing at the CESMM club, located at the Port of Fontvieille. Specially adapted boats will then be at your disposal from 9:00 a.m., allowing you to accompany the participants, capture content, and follow the first dive of the day in real time, under optimal conditions and in an exceptional setting, close to both the competitors and the organizers.
