Thursday 29 Jan:John O’Groats (UK)
Sunday 1 Feb: Bad Homburg (Germany), Barcelona (Spain), Milan (Italy), Monte‑Carlo (Principality of Monaco), and Reims (France).
Expanded Vehicle Eligibility
For the first time, eligible vehicles include models that competed at Monte‑Carlo up to January 1986, a notable extension from the previous cut-off dates around 1983/1985. Expect iconic Irish Minis, Italian GTs, German coupes, and more to enrich the historic field.
Closed-Road Special Stages
A major competitive evolution: all Regularity Stages will now take place on fully closed roads, pending administrative approval. This change enhances safety, encourages precision driving, and elevates the rally’s professional standards
Dual Average-Speed Categories
Organisers are introducing two distinct average-speed classes, each with its own standings, offering greater choice and competitiveness across different rally eras.
It’s noticeable the event is evolving while preserving its heart, classic rallying spirit, camaraderie, and mountain-road challenges. As the engines roar to life and the first classics roll out from John O’Groats, Reims, or Monte-Carlo, a living tribute to motorsport’s golden age begins anew. Picture nimble Minis dancing through snow-draped cols, Lancias and Porsches slicing through the misty Alpine switchbacks, and determined crews guiding their vintage machines by maplight- just as their forebears did decades ago. It’s this timeless spectacle, rich with history and heart, that continues to captivate entrants and spectators alike. With rising participation and growing international appeal each year, the Rallye Monte‑Carlo Historique proves that true rallying heritage is not only remembered but relived, with passion, precision, and style.
