This “Captain game” is designed to make you rediscover a famous Monaco district

Do you want to rediscover a wonderful neighbourhood? Take part in this exciting discovery game!

The partnership initiated in 2014 between the Department of Maritime Affairs, the Department of the Environment, the Société d’Exploitation des Ports de Monaco (SEPM) and the company Ecocéan, has just been renewed for a further 4 years until 2027. With the Yacht Club de Monaco joining the project, 79 new nurseries called “Biohuts” have just been installed in the Principality’s two ports.

The “Captain Game”

To complete this project, which contributed to SEPM obtaining the Clean Port Active in Biodiversity certification in 2020, highlighting its commitment to act in favour of local biodiversity in the port and its area of influence, the “Captain Game” was installed and put into service this March near the Port of Fontvieille harbour master’s office.

This game, designed and produced by Ecocéan, is a sporty and fun course designed to raise public awareness of the environment while at the same time allowing visitors to discover the cultural secrets of the site.

With family or friends, this original circuit will make you discover or rediscover the Fontvieille district and its port in a different way through a 2.5 km path, with 10 markers to find and answers to fill in.

The game’s leaflets are available at the harbourmasters’ offices of the two ports, at the Oceanographic Museum, at the Tourist Office and at the Jardin Animalier.
