Thomas Brezzo – President of the National Council of Monaco:
“I knew Marco Simone at the end of his playing career and later as a coach, and I’m delighted to see him today so devoted to Monaco United, a club he created with passion and ambition. Congratulations to the girls for these first positive results, capped with another impressive win this weekend. They are fortunate to be part of a beautiful project led by a top-quality coach, and I hope the objectives set at the start of the season will be achieved.”
This Sunday marked Monaco United’s sixth league match, and for the second time this season the team returned to the comfort of the Didier Deschamps Stadium in Cap-d’Ail, nestled at the foot of the iconic Louis-II. A familiar setting and an ideal venue to welcome supporters eager to cheer on a team that remained undefeated and determined to confirm its ambitions at the top of the table.
Riding an impressive run of form in recent weeks and under the pleased gaze of National Council President Thomas Brezzo, the Monegasque players quickly took control against Cavigal Nice. From the opening minutes, the early goal set the tone for a match that would leave no room for suspense. Goals followed at a steady pace, allowing Monaco United to secure a comfortable lead early on and approach the rest of the match with total confidence.

Beyond the final score, it was the manner of the performance that stood out. With excellent technical execution and constant focus, the players dictated the tempo, monopolizing possession and controlling every aspect of the game. Firm favorites before kick-off, they fully embraced that role, reaching halftime with a commanding 8–0 advantage.
The second half unfolded in the same fashion. Without ever dropping their intensity, Monaco United continued to develop their game, offering a generous display to their supporters. Coach Marco Simone took the opportunity to make three substitutions, allowing more players to join the celebration while maintaining high standards right through to the final whistle.
While the emphatic 17–0 scoreline naturally grabs attention, the defensive solidity deserves just as much praise. The few opposing attacks were handled perfectly, confirming the team’s determination to keep a clean sheet—a goal achieved with the same rigor that characterized their attacking performance.

Mélanie Hacard:
“The team delivered a very strong performance, starting the match with the right intentions and applying the coach’s instructions perfectly. Playing simple, fast football allowed us to score early and then keep control with composure. Our defensive solidity, with no goals conceded, is also a major satisfaction, boosting the confidence of the entire back line; as someone who plays in that sector, it’s a special pleasure.”
After a fully controlled display, Monaco United secured another resounding victory, adding three more points to their tally. Still unbeaten, the team is enjoying a flawless start to the season, fully in line with the ambitions set when the project began. An ideal evening at the Didier Deschamps Stadium, hinting at a promising continuation of the league campaign.

Marco Simone:
“Tonight’s performance was of a very high level, both technically and tactically, as well as in terms of attitude. Despite the large scoreline, the players maintained their standards and showed real collective maturity. Our defensive solidity, with no goals conceded, is also extremely satisfying and reflects the team’s concentration on every detail. Congratulations to the players for the quality of their performance and the exemplary mindset they displayed throughout the match.”
