2nd edition of World Clean Up Day in Monaco
The 2nd edition of World Clean Up Day in Monaco with Monaco City Hall as a partner will take place on Saturday September 19, 2020.
Following the success of the first edition at the end of which nearly a ton of waste had been collected, the Monaco City Hall, under the leadership of Marjorie Crovetto Harroch, Deputy Mayor, in charge of the Living Environment, Environment and Sustainable Development, is once again associated with the organization of the World Clean Up Day this year. The second edition is carried by Sébastien Uscher, founder of the association “Stand up for the planet”, which will take place on Saturday 19 September in partnership with Décathlon Monaco, the Mission for the Energy Transition of the Prince’s Government, the Société Monegasque d ‘Sanitation (SMA) and Eco-Angels (Stars’N’Bars).
This international waste collection day will bring together millions of people around the world through different events. Within the framework of Monegasque actions, four activities are on the program:
– Eco rando, 9:30 am – 11:30 am (30 people maximum): route in the town of La Turbie;
– The Port Eco team walk, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. (30 people maximum divided into sub-groups of 10 people): a cleaning walk from Stars’N’Bars to the Town Hall;
– The Monaco-Ville Eco team walk, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. (30 people maximum divided into sub-groups of 10 people): departure from the Town Hall and walk through the alleys of the Rock;
– The Eco run, 10:30 am – 12 noon (30 people maximum): a run from Décathlon (Fontvieille district) to the Cap d’Ail coastal path.
At the end of this, all the collected waste will be weighed in the Courtyard of the Town Hall.
