Andersen! in Theatre des Muses

The play Andersen! will be on stage of Theatre des Muses on Wednesday 20 May 2026 at 3 pm, Saturday 23 May at 5 pm, Sunday 24 May at 11 am (possible additional performance on Saturday 23 at 2:30 pm).

Today, Hans arrives in Copenhagen at the ripe old age of 14, full of ambition but burdened by a troubled family history. In his mind, ambition, imagination, and reason clash as he searches for his path.

And these forces, each in its own way, with great kindness and a touch of clumsiness, help him escape the present through wonderful stories. Sometimes dark and sad like the cold, gray winter sky, sometimes funny and childlike like a sweet treat: “Andersen!” tells the stories of his life.
