“The Taming of the Shrew” by Jean-Christophe Maillot performed by the Ballets de Monte-Carlo with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Lawrence Foster on Thursday 28, Friday 29, Saturday 30, Sunday 31 December, Tuesday 2, Wednesday 3, Thursday 4 January, at 8pm and Friday 5 January, at 4pm Grimaldi Forum Monaco – Salle des Princes.
An epic ballet created by Jean-Christophe Maillot in 2013 for the Bolshoi dancers, The Taming of the Shrew was awarded three 3 Masques d’Ors (best choreographic show, best male dancer (Petruchio) and best female dancer) and is currently on a world tour. The play that is now touring the world returns to Monaco, re-appropriated by Jean-Christophe Maillot for the dancers of Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo.
