Matti Braun was inspired by some of the productions and cultural developments of the Modernist movement in India of the Twentieth century. His research focuses in particular on the character of Vikram Sarabhai (1919-1971), father of the space program of India. Sarabhai was born in a progressive and influential family, who had developed relationships with such figures as Le Corbusier, architect of his residence in Ahmedabad (1951), and John Cage, artist representative of the New York City avant-garde.
