Jamais Dormir (Never Sleep) play in Fort Antoine Theatre

Premier of Jamais Dormir (Never Sleep), a play by Compagnie  L’Annexe aimed at young audiences will be on stage of the Fort Antoine Theatre on 11 July 2025 at 8 pm.

She doesn’t sleep. It’s impossible. There’s too much to invent at night. Too much to discover. Especially when life beyond the door is too hard to dream about.

Around a bed that can alternately become a ship, a cabin, a flying carpet, an 8-year-old girl faces the worlds she creates at night trying to escape the violence of her environment.

With this piece, Baptiste Amann pays homage to the imagination, to the night, and its phantasmagorical power. A rebellious and adventurous tale, like a sample of the thousand lives reinvented in the secret bedrooms of these children whose suffering has led them to produce beauty.
