Marcel Pagnol – Variations d’amour (Variations of Love), poetic and musical duo, continues the programme of the Fort Antoin Festival on 14 July 2026 at 9.30 pm.

Few authors are as famous as the works they have created. Even rarer are those poets who have captured the voices of their homeland and made them resonate in the hearts of the world. Marcel Pagnol is one of them.

Thanks to his words, Provence has earned its place of honor far beyond the borders of these sun-drenched lands, where joys abound as much as sorrows.

This performance takes the form of a musical reading conceived by Nicolas Pagnol, painting an intimate and passionate portrait of the artist Marcel Pagnol, who wrote of love with the talent of someone who had experienced it firsthand.

Brought by the sun-drenched voice of Vincent Fernandel, Pagnol’s words meet the poetry of Franck Ciup’s compositions, in a setting woven from excerpts of famous works and personal correspondence.
