Music Festival: Faada Freddy at the Fort Antoine Theater

On June 21, music will be celebrated in the Principality, with Faada Freddy and his captivating soul playing from 8 p.m.

This year’s edition of the Fête de la Musique will take place in an unprecedented format, since it is not at the Port of Monaco but at the Fort Antoine Theater that the free concert offered by the Monaco City Hall will be organized. It will take place by invitation, in free seating and wearing a mask. The distribution of invitations will take place at the Espace Léo Ferré from Monday, June 14, on presentation of a Monegasque identity card (2 tickets per card) and, subsequently if there are still places, from Tuesday, June 15, on presentation of a residence permit.

The Senegalese artist who grew up on the streets of Dakar and made guitars from tin cans to make his musical dreams come true, has become a name that matters in the soul universe. After traveling the world with his group Daara J and collaborating with great international artists such as Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz) and Wyclef Jean (The Fugees), Faada Freddy embarked on a solo career in 2014. His critically acclaimed album Gospel Journey was recorded without the slightest instrument, only with vocals and body percussion (chorus beats and finger snaps).

On stage, Faada Freddy manages, thanks to his extraordinary voice imprinted with all the soul of soul, to deliver a strong emotional intensity.
