Nocturne and screening of Memoria by Apichatpong Weerasethakul is organized on 6 August 2026 at 6 pm in the New National Museum of Monaco.

A Scottish horticulturist specializing in orchids visits her ailing sister in Bogotá, Colombia. During her stay, she befriends a French archaeologist overseeing a construction project and a young local musician. Haunted by a mysterious and deafening noise that only she can hear, she embarks on an introspective and sensory quest.
Apichatpong Weerasethakul offers an immersive and sensory journey through the Colombian jungle. This lyrical and meditative cinematic experience, in which image and sound intertwine, once again places Weerasethakul in the lineage of the Surrealists. Co-winner of the Jury Prize at Cannes after winning the Palme d’Or in 2011 with Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, the filmmaker further explores his recurring themes such as dreams, memory, metaphysics, and time.
