Screening of the film “Elena” by Andreï Zviaguintsev

The Art of the Cinema – screening of the film “Elena” by Andreï Zviaguintsev, organised by the Audiovisual Institute of Monaco on Tuesday 16 April 2019, at 8 pm in Théâtre des Variétés.

Elena and Vladimir are a couple of a certain age. They come from different social backgrounds. Vladimir is a rich and cold man, Elena a modest and docile woman. They met late in life and each has a child from a previous marriage. Elena’s son, who is unemployed, is unable to provide for his own family and constantly asks his mother for money. Vladimir’s daughter is a careless young woman, a little bohemian, who keeps her father at a distance.
