Applications are currently being accepted for the 4th edition of “Les Talents du Fort” (Talents of the Fort), open to young artists from the Principality. The event aims to showcase young talent from Monaco during a friendly evening in the magical setting of the open air theatre, Fort Antoine. The talent show will take place on 10 July 2026.

Organized by the Monaco Department of Cultural Affairs, applications are open to musicians, singers, dancers, actors, circus performers, and DJs between the ages of 16-30. Anyone who would like to perform in the event is invited to submit their application by 17 May 2026 via a short online form.

“Allowing the talents of tomorrow to perform in professional conditions before a large audience, this evening is part of the initiatives undertaken by the Department of Cultural Affairs in support of young people,” says a recent press release by the Princely Government.

Chance to Perform at Expo Serbia 2027

This year, one of the acts will be selected to represent Monaco at the 2027 World Expo, which will be held in Belgrade, Serbia. Expo 2027 is scheduled to run from 15 May to 15 August 2027 under the theme “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All”. The Expo is expected to welcome more than 130 participating countries and more than 6 million visitors, with more than 8,000 events across the 93-day program. This will be the first world exposition to be held in the former Yugoslavia. Being selected to perform at Expo Serbia will surely be an extraordinary opportunity to perform at a prestigious event before an international audience.

Fort Destroyed during WWII

Constructed by Prince Antoine I in 1714 during the War of the Spanish Succession, Fort Antoine is now used as a beautiful open air theatre. In 1943, Germany took control of Monaco and used Fort Antoine as a munitions depot. One year later, the fort was blown up by retreating German troops when the United States liberated Monaco. In 1953, Prince Rainier III had the fort rebuilt. Today, the Fort Antoine hosts open air plays, musical concerts and film screenings during the summer months.
