Charles Leclerc shared some happy news on social media: he is getting engaged to Alexandra Saint Mleux! A series of photos was shared on instagram with the caption: “Mr². & Mrs. Leclerc” on 2 November. The couple began dating in March 2023.

The couple’s engagement post garnered over 6.5 million likes in one day, with many F1 drivers showing their support for the couple.

“Congratulations to you both,” said Lewis Hamilton. Carlos Sainz, Esteban Ocon and Oscar Piastri also congratulated the couple, while Ferrari said, “Fantastic news!! Congratulations.”

The couple’s dog, Leo, seems to have played a big part in helping Charles Leclerc propose to Alexandra Saint Mleux. The carousel shows a photo of a little, black bowtie for the dog, engraved with the message: “Dad wants to marry you!”

Next, is a photo of a plate of biscuits spelling out “A & C” and a heart-shaped cookie printed with the words “We are getting married” above a doggie treat that reads, “Mom said yes!”. The first photo shows the couple kissing their pup, with a sparkling ring clearly visible. The final photo reveals a romantic setting, full of red rose petals and candles.

Just one week before proposing, the 28-year-old driver did phenomenally well during the Mexico Grand Prix, finishing in what he called a “surprising” 2nd place. According to Elle magazine, which features Leclerc’s new fiancée on their latest cover, Alexandra Saint Mleux captivated everyone at the Mexican Grand Prix with her style, personality, and presence.

The 24 year-old social media influencer is half-Mexican and uses her notoriety for social causes. Just five days ago, she announced the launch of Corazones Unidos, a fund for children and women in underserved communities across Mexico that aims to provide access to quality education.

“This has been a dream in my heart for a long time, to create something that inspires, and grows from love. This fund was created to support children across Mexico by giving them access to quality education and the opportunities that come with it. When paired with art, music, and creativity, education becomes a powerful force for change,” said Alexandra Saint Mleux.
