They say dreams are not bound by borders.
Nestled in southwest Germany, near the borders of France and Switzerland, far from the Mediterranean and the roar of Grand Prix engines, Europa-Park is crafting something extraordinary. It’s a Monaco-themed quarter that aims to capture the essence of the tiny principality’s glamour, adrenaline and elegance. With its unveiling set for spring 2026, fantasy and reality are about to intersect in ways that thrillseekers won’t want to miss.
Where Motors and Majesty Meet
Imagine wandering through cobblestone lanes reminiscent of Monte-Carlo’s streets, past stylised façades that nod to the Casino de Monte-Carlo’s Belle-Époque opulence, and alongside marina motifs that echo Monaco’s port life. This is all before your shoes even touch Europa-Park’s themed gravel. That’s the ambition behind this new district.
At the heart of the project lies inspiration drawn from the principality’s legendary Grand Prix. Designers are drawing direct inspiration from the visual language of Monaco’s iconic street circuit
A Little Bit of Riviera, a Dash of Reality
Europa-Park’s creators are teasing an immersive world where gastronomy, architecture, and atmosphere fuse into an almost cinematic experience. Façades whisper secrets of jet-set soirées and every visitor might feel momentarily transported to a place where time slows down just long enough for pure delight.
The park has even introduced a preview centre inside the Silver Star Hall, where guests can catch the first glimpses of what awaits, akin to peeking at the blueprints of an undiscovered city.
From Palace to Park Pathways
Monaco’s allure is more than visual; it’s emotional. It’s the thrill of a corner taken just right and the hushed awe as a roulette wheel spins. Europa-Park has set out to capture this spirit.
And there’s symbolic significance too: Monaco will become Europa-Park’s 18th themed country zone, standing among France, Italy, Spain, and others that celebrate continental heritage through rides and experiences.
This Monegasque adventure at Europa-Park also builds on a relationship built through repeated visits and symbolic appearances between the park and Monaco’s royal family. Prince Albert II has previously praised the Mack family’s entrepreneurial legacy, while Princess Stéphanie lent her patronage to the opening of Europa-Park’s winter season, symbolising the warmth of these ties. More recently, Louis Ducruet and Marie Ducruet, openly enthusiastic about theme parks and thrill rides, shared their excitement after experiencing the iconic Silver Star.
The Silver Star – Did You Know?
Silver Star is one of Europe’s most iconic steel roller coasters. Opened in 2002, it quickly became a flagship attraction thanks to its sheer scale, smooth ride, and panoramic views.
Marking Time… and Anticipation
The official launch is slated for March 28, 2026, promising a springtime debut that coincides with the park’s new seasonal opening. Enthusiasts around the world are counting the days until the ribbon is cut and the Riviera comes alive in Rust’s rolling landscape.
Europa-Park is offering a journey that starts with a ticket and ends in an idea, that wonder can be transported across continents.
