Safe Harbor enters Mediterranean Market after Monaco Marine Acquisition

Safe Harbor has announced the completion of its expansion into the Mediterranean market with the acquisition of Monaco Marine.

Safe Harbor has announced the completion of its expansion into the Mediterranean market with the acquisition of Monaco Marine. In a recent press release from their headquarters in Dallas, Safe Harbor stated that it has added the Mediterranean to its “unmatched global boating and service network”.

“The Monaco Marine team cares deeply about providing exceptional service in some of the world’s most iconic yachting destinations,” said Baxter Underwood, CEO of Safe Harbor Marinas. “We are thrilled to be able to serve captains, crews, and owners in places like Saint Tropez, Antibes, and Monaco.”

The transaction means that Safe Harbor Marinas has acquired 100% of the share capital of Monaco Marine SA. Monaco Marine includes nine locations in the South of France and Monaco that provide slips, storage, and service for vessels and superyachts.

“Driven by a culture of excellence and sustainability, Monaco Marine has earned the confidence of yacht owners, captains, and shipbuilders worldwide,” states Safe Harbor’s recent press release.

With the addition of Monaco Marine, Safe Harbor now owns and operates 149 marinas and shipyards in the United States, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. Monaco Marine is Safe Harbor’s first European expansion.

“In a rapidly growing yachting market, Safe Harbor Marinas has expressed its intention to leverage the Monaco Marine network to develop its business in Europe, thanks to the synergies between the two groups,” states a press release by Monaco Marine.
