The Société des Bains de Mer recently hinted that they will be opening the largest restaurant in the upcoming Mareterra district. Monaco’s most ambitious and transformative construction project, the new district built on top of the sea, may soon be home to the SBM’s Marlow restaurant. The residential, cultural and recreational spaces which have been designed to celebrate the spirit of the Mediterranean are set to be ready by November 2024.

News of the restaurant was recently revealed by Stephane Valeri on Radio Monaco. The deputy president of the Société des Bains de Mer said that the restaurant will be the largest one in the district and located on the central square. The name ‘Marlow’ is of British origin and the restaurant will have an English atmosphere, according to Stéphane Valeri. The SBM president went on to say that it will chic, relaxed and open from breakfast until late at night.

Back in November 2023, for the reopening of the Café de Paris, Morning Radio Monaco took up residence on the upper floor of the famous brasserie located in the heart of Monte-Carlo, on the Place du Casino, for over 150 years. Stephane Valerie gave an update on the new look of the Café de Paris, the cost of the work, the opening of the festive restaurant Amazónico, the launch of New Moods in October 2024, the new governance, the SBM’s global strategy and international development projects.

Marlow will join the ranks of over twenty-five stellar SBM restaurants like the Café de Paris, Amazónico and Le Louis XV. For 150 years, the Café de Paris has been the beating heart of Monaco. Standing proudly on the Place du Casino, the legendary Café de Paris Monte-Carlo is a favourite amongst celebrities and artists, locals and visitors alike.

The newest addition to the SBM restaurant family, Amazónico, is located centre-stage in the iconic Place du Casino, and invites guests to embark on a multi-sensory journey through the Amazon Rainforest. Created by husband-and-wife duo, Sandro Silva and Marta Seco, the Amazónico concept first emerged in Madrid in 2016, and has since opened in London and Dubai. With its 3 Michelin stars, Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse at the Hôtel de Paris features a menu from chefs Alain Ducasse and Emmanuel Pilon, and pastry chef Sandro Micheli.
