Two months after a victory destined to be remembered in the annals of international yachting, the Yacht Club de Monaco celebrated this Sunday the historic achievement of its Admiral’s Cup winning crews. On this occasion, Pierre Casiraghi, Vice-President of the Y.C.M., alongside Dr Deborah Fish, Commodore of the Royal Ocean Racing Club, had the honour of presenting the heroes of this remarkable sporting feat to H.S.H. Prince Albert II.

On 30 July in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, the Monegasque team achieved a sensational triumph by winning the 2025 edition of the Admiral’s Cup, one of the most prestigious competitions in the sailing world. After a week of intense racing and a dramatic finale, Monaco inscribed its name for the very first time on the roll of honour of this legendary trophy.

At the helm of Jolt 6 and Jolt 3, skippered respectively by Pierre Casiraghi and Peter Harrison, the Yacht Club de Monaco demonstrated resilience, strategy and boldness to secure victory in the overall team standings. This success represents not only a moment of immense pride for the Principality, but also the Club’s entry into the select circle of Admiral’s Cup winners.

Princely Twins enter their Last Year of Primary School

Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella had their first day back at school on September 8. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene looked on as their children walked, holding hands, into the François d’Assise-Nicolas Barré Institute. The twins are ten years old and are now in their final year of primary school.

“A new academic year full of discoveries, friendships, and adventures awaits them. The Princely Family wishes all students in the Principality a wonderful start to the school year!” said the Prince’s Palace of Monaco.

Princess Stephanie attends the 12th Ladies Vintage Cars Rally

The Ladies Vintage Car Rally was held in the presence of Princess Stephanie on Sunday, September 7. The race began at the Casino Square with 80 participants dressed in this year’s theme “French Riviera, chic and glamorous”. The route headed to Grasse, with a gastronomic stop at La Bastide Saint Antoine, then off to Beaulieu-sur-Mer for afternoon tea by the sea, before heading to the Monte-Carlo Beach Club. The charitable event allows Child CARE Monaco to finance educational projects in India.

Prince Albert II celebrates 40th Anniversary of Civil Protection Association in Dolceacqua

Prince Albert II attended the fortieth anniversary of the Roberto Bernadinello Civil Protection Association, a volunteer association that provides security in Dolceacqua, an Italian town twinned with the Principality. The association is made up of around thirty volunteers who work in their area to provide assistance and relief.

Prince Albert II celebrates Record-Breaking Performance by Monaco’s Athletes in Andorra

Prince Albert II honoured the Monegasque delegation for their incredible record-breaking achievement: winning 44 medals at the Games of the Small States of Europe in May. Prince Albert II presided over the special reception on September 11 at the Oceanographic Museum in the presence of Minister of State Christophe Mirmand, Yvette Lambin-Berti, Secretary General of the Monegasque Olympic Committee, Thomas Brezzzo, President of the National Council and other officials. The athletes won 16 gold, 13 silver and 15 bronze, placing fourth overall. Monaco will be hosting the next Games of the Small States of Europe, in 2027.

Prince Albert II inaugurates 14th Journées de l’Art-Bre

The 14th Journées de l’Art-Bre opened on September 9, in the presence of Prince Albert II, who was welcomed to the event by Patrick Cesari, Mayor of Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, and his wife Martine Cesari, President of the Tourist Information Office. This edition paid tribute to Virginie Hériot, the first female Olympic sailing champion who lived in Cap Martin in a property called “Les Hirondelles”.

Prince Albert II unveiled a bust of Virginie Hériot created by artist Romain Tiercin, before viewing a video on the C@p’tivante Walk dedicated to the sailor. The tour also included a collective piece called “Puzzle Reveal” by Anthony Alberti, aka Mr. One Teas, with the participation of 64 students. The evening concluded with an installation by Elend Zyma: a canvas cloth emerging from an olive tree. Guests were invited to write and draw on the piece.

Prince Albert II welcomes Roquefort-les-Pins into the Grimaldi Network

Prince Albert II visited Roquefort-les-Pins to welcome the town into the Grimaldi Historic Sites of Monaco network, on September 9. Accompanied by Mayor Michel Rossi, the Sovereign unveiled a commemorative plaque on the town hall square. The visit was also an opportunity for the mayor to present a medical on-call centre to Prince Albert II. The modern infrastructure designed to improve healthcare is scheduled to open in October.

In the 18th century, two members of the ruling dynasty served as governors of Saint-Paul, a territory which encompassed La Colle-sur-Loup and Roquefort-les-Pins.
