Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene attend Provale Gala in Paris
The Princely couple attended the 2026 Provale Charity Gala on 13 March at the Hôtel George V in Paris. Princess Charlene, who is President of the Monegasque Rugby Federation, addressed guests during the evening.
Organized by the French national union of rugby players, the event was led by French-Algerian rugby player Malik Hamadache. The Provale Solidarity fund aims to provide assistance to former players who encounter financial, medical or social difficulties once their sports career has come to an end.







Prince Albert II welcomes Five National Ambassadors to the Palace
Prince Albert II received the credentials of five newly appointed ambassadors at the Prince’s Palace on 12 March. The presentation of credentials constitutes the founding act of any diplomatic mission. Without this formal recognition from the Head of State, no ambassador can officially represent their country on Monegasque soil. Following the presentation, a luncheon was held in the Excelsior Room of the Hermitage Hotel.
The five new ambassadors are: Eduardo José Atienza de Vega (Philippines); Kirsikka Lehto-Asikainen (Finland); María Mjöll Jonsdottir (Iceland); Carole Vicini (Sweden); Daniela Memmo d’Amelio (Malta). The Principality maintains diplomatic relations with more than 170 states.
Prince Albert II celebrates Commonwealth Day in London with King Charles
Prince Albert II represented Monaco in London during Commonwealth Day on 9 March, at the invitation of the Commonwealth Secretariat. Held annually on the second Monday of March, the day brings together representatives from 56 member states across five continents. The theme for the 2026 edition was “Unlocking Opportunities Together for a Prosperous Commonwealth”.
The Sovereign first attended a memorial service at Westminster Abbey, and was accompanied by Evelyne Genta, Ambassador of Monaco to the United Kingdom. Prince Albert II then attended a gala at St. James’s Palace, hosted by King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
Pope Leo XIV’s visit to Monaco: Program Unveiled
The Prince’s Palace officially unveiled the program for Pope Leo XIV’s visit to the Principality, taking place on Saturday 28 March 2026. No pope has visited Monaco since Paul III’s arrival on the Rock in 1538, nearly five centuries ago.
The day will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the Pope’s arrival at the Monaco heliport, where he will be greeted by Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene. A procession will head to the Prince’s Palace for a welcoming ceremony (9:25 a.m.) in the Palace’s main courtyard, followed by an audience with the Sovereign at 9:40 a.m. At 10:10 a.m., Prince Albert II and Pope Leo XIV will deliver addresses from the Palace balcony.
At 10:40 a.m., the papal procession will then travel in the Popemobile to the Cathedral, where Archbishop Dominique-Marie David will lead a meeting with the Catholic community at 11:00 a.m. The procession will then visit the Church of Saint Devota for a discussion with young people and “catechumens” (individuals undergoing training in Christian doctrine) at 11:45 a.m. There will be a public Mass at 3:30 p.m. at the Louis II Stadium, attended by the Princely Family, civil and religious authorities, and members of the public.
Charlotte Casiraghi attends Chanel’s Fall and Winter Show in Paris
Charlotte Casiraghi attended the Chanel womenswear Fall/Winter 2026–2027 during Paris Fashion Week on 9 March. Earthy tones, bold and organic striped prints, dusty pinks and plenty of tweed was featured in the runway show. Charlotte Casiraghi wore an emerald green tweed skirt suit from Chanel’s Métiers d’Art 2026 collection.
Pauline Ducruet relaunches Pool Position, Princess Stephanie’s Swimwear Brand
In an interview with Marie Claire on 10 March 2026, Pauline Ducruet spoke about her revival of Pool Position, an iconic Monegasque beachwear brand founded by her mother, Princess Stephanie, in the 1980s. Created between 1985 and 1987, Pool Position was a collaboration between the Princess and Alix de la Comble. Pauline Ducruet founded her own fashion label, Alter Designs, in 2018. Pauline Ducruet confirmed that the swimwear brand’s first collection is planned for June, with four new designs.
