Exhibition of Pastels by Jean Malaurie in Oceanographic Museum of Monaco

The Oceanographic Museum of Monaco is hosting “Arctic Twilight”, an exhibition of pastel paintings by Jean Malaurie, from 15 December 2022 to 24 January 2023.
This unique exhibition brings together many of Jean Malaurie’s pastel paintings, including some of his most recent works inspired by his missions in the Arctic. These paintings highlight the beauty and power of the natural elements in the Northern regions.
This exhibition by the French researcher and explorer is part of the program of the Oceanographic Institute dedicated to the polar regions.
At the end of 2021, Jean Malaurie donated to the Oceanographic Institute his collection of Inuit objects, his archives and personal effects from his 31 polar expeditions. Visitors can discover part of this
collection presented as part of the “Polar Mission” exhibition.
