1. Yas spotted in Gibraltar
Gibraltar has welcomed quite a lot of superyachts lately-in the past week we have spotted latest Lurssen delivery Amadea and Feadship Vertigo as one of the guests. Now the Port of Gibraltar has seen the 9th largest yacht in the world, 141m Yas, arriving.
2. Royal Huisman’s sailing yacht Ngoni emerges from shed
58m sloop, first introduced at the Monaco Yacht Show 2014 as The Beast, has emerged from the shed at Royal Huisman’s Vollenhove facility last week. The all-aluminium yacht features an exterior design and naval architecture by Dubois Naval Architects, whilst an interior has been created by Rick Baker and Paul Morgan.
3. 106m Project Solar named Black Pearl
Project Solar, the 106-meter sailing yacht launched in September 2016 by Dutch shipyard, Oceanco and a contender to the title of world’s largest sailing yacht, is currently under construction and has been named Black Pearl as she is getting closer to delivery.
4. Lurssen launch Project Thunder
On Monday April 3rd Lürssen launched project Thunder at its facility in Bremen. She represents a 120m+ yacht, designed by Espen Oeino. Project Thunder launched from the floating dock 24 months after her keel was laid in 2015.
5. Rossinavi launches 49m superyacht Aurora
On April 1st 49m superyacht Aurora has been launched at Rossinavi facility in Viareggio. Previously known as Longitude 47, she has been lengthened by 2.2m during the construction process.
6. Couach Yachts 4400 Fast Fly named Tosca
French yacht builder Couach has launched 4400 Fast Fly in December. Now we’ve been informed that the yacht has been christened Tosca and her owner has a longstanding relationship with the Couach Yachts.
7. Second Numarine 105 HT hull delivered to Hong Kong
Numarine, the Turkish shipyard based in Istanbul, has delivered unit #2 of Numarine 105 HT to a Far-East owner in Hong Kong. The yacht has also been spotted in Phuket during one of her first cruises.
