A Dynamic New Thrust For Monaco’s Chamber Of Commerce On Its 20th Anniversary

The Monaco Chamber of Commerce (MEB) hits a new stride this March 21st. And to mark the occasion it will be at Monaco Yacht Club that MEB members will be granted a few hours reprieve from their busy weeks to celebrate the 20th anniversary of “MEB Missions Accomplished” all over the globe.

By that time Monaco will already have another mission under its belt, in India this time, with heightened visibility in New Delhi following an official visit from Prince Albert.

And the new stride? March 21st is not just a celebration. The Chamber of Commerce will announce a new dimension added to its mandate. Up to now, the expertise being displayed with great effect around world is mainly from Monaco’s private sector. The new plan is to ramp up those 50 missions with all the “savoir-faire” in Monaco’s public institutions, be it scientific, environmental, technological or investment and cultural know how. At a stroke each future Mission will pack a double punch by leveraging the expertise in the Principality’s public and parapublic entities and their satellites.

And if there were any doubt about how seriously the Chamber of Commerce is taking its newly enhanced role, it’s President Michel Dotta announced  the appointment of a new executive as he met with well over 300 members of the Chamber at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort.

Guillaume Rose with the title “Executive Director General” will oversee this new integration of the well of expertise in the Public and Parapublic sector. It all adds up to greater leverage of everything Monaco has to offer. Guillaume Rose, currently with eight years of senior management experience at the head of Monaco’s Tourism and Congress Authority brings with him a wealth of experience from Monaco’s service sectors.

The new Executive Director General will hit the ground running. Austria and Hungary are already in the sights of the Chamber of Commerce with Missions lined up. Also add the activities of Monaco Invest who have their eyes on London, Geneva, Zurich and Brussels. There are initiatives afoot also in Singapore and Dubai.

The soon to be new Executive Managing Director is no doubt already formulating a strategy for attack. Dynamism, elan, and flair being brought to the new enhanced Mission; Monaco and the world awaits.
